Restraining Orders
Restraining orders, or Protection From Abuse orders, severely impact those upon whom they are served. A person may evicted from their home without some other housing alternative. A person’s freedom of movement may be restricted. Also, the individual may be prohibited from communicating with family, friends, and loved ones. The right to possess and carry firearms can be suspended during the pendency of the legal process. Child custody rights may be temporarily suspended. Court attendance significantly inconveniences people and upsets the balance at their jobs.
For all of these reasons, if you or a loved one has been served with a PFA or a restraining order in Pennsylvania or New Jersey, it is important to contact a trial-ready attorney, like Brittenburg Law, LLC, who can assist you in the defense of your case.
